About

The Sangkamalayan Center for Spirituality and Compassion, also known as the House of Universal Spirits, is a Philippine-based, independent spiritual society that advocates spiritual cultivation, conscious living, and genuine community service.

Its founders believe in the Transcendentalist and Universalist Spiritual Principles, stating that all religions, like streams of refreshing waters, lead to one Spiritual Ocean, that all paths lead to the Supreme Creator, and that self-knowledge is the key to the oneness of all creatures among all creations. Thus, the name Sangkamalayan means “united consciousness.”

Sangkamalayan’s Mission

  1. To provide spiritual seekers a haven for the safe cultivation of spiritual knowledge, leading to a greater and deeper understanding of arcane spiritual wisdom and principles, which govern the entire creation;
  2. To propagate the teachings of Spiritual Masters and Teachers from all ages, which leads to happiness, oneness, and enlightenment, and ultimately in Spiritual Ascension;
  3. To propagate conscious and healthy, spiritually-focused living, anchored in the principles of mercy, simple living, self-awareness, and compassion;
  4. To propagate genuine care for humanity and the environment; and
  5. Establish strong linkages with institutions and organizations that share the same principles, mission, and vision as Sangkamalayan, to build strong spiritual communities that will bring positive changes to this world.

Its Vision

The Center’s vision is to create a strong community of spiritually inclined and compassionate individuals and organizations that focus on cultivating self-awareness, anchored in spiritual and humanist principles, that will lead to self-realization and actualization.

The Center also envisions a group of unified communities that genuinely care for the welfare of humanity and Mother Earth, while pushing for meaningful and positive social and personal changes, which will eventually lead to real happiness, joy, contentment, and peace.
